Executive Headteacher's Welcome

I hope you enjoy finding out more about the opportunities that we offer young people in our community.

The learning and achievement of our young people is our priority; we unashamedly expect a great deal from them.

Successful outcomes for our young people are borne out of the partnership between school, young person and home. It is this partnership which provides the cornerstone for them to succeed. Together we will ensure that each young person will have the individualised support needed to help them overcome their barriers to learning; which could include behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties.

Working in partnership together is the vital ingredient to raise aspirations and to ensure each young person has the necessary strategies to become a successful and responsible member of society.

We live in a rapidly changing and unpredictable world therefore we must prepare our young people to live successfully in interdependent communities where knowledge, understanding and tolerance of other people and their cultures are vital.

We pride ourselves on offering young people an exciting, engaging curriculum. This gives every young person the opportunity to gain a GCSE in English, Maths, Science plus additional optional subjects. We also offer our communities a chance to use our newly equipped music centre and drama areas and to engage in lifelong learning.

I hope you will be encouraged to learn more about the academy and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
