Year 10 Topic 2. 3-5 lessons

Topic 2 is on Time. This is the actual lessons that were used in class by me Time. Use this to help and have a go at the examples. After Time 1 in the powerpoint, have a go at these two excecises by clicking these two links analogue clocks calendar questions.

Completed all tasks and having a go at all examples on problems on the powerpoint should cover approximately 3-5 lessons.

This work is on ratio and proportion, which goes from grade D to A. Here is a powerpoint which goes through ratio and proportion, including inverse proportion. There are examples and interactive activities to have a go at along the way. N6 Ratio and proportion.

Then there are some exercises to have a go at. First Have a go at pages 35 and 36 from this pack. Then the next exercise from pages 11 to 16 on direct and inverse proportion and variation .

Year 10 topic 1 3-4 lessons

Our first topic in Maths is Ratio and Proportion. Attached is a powerpoint covering all aspects of the topic which you need for the functional skills course and for GCSE. Their are examples and interactive problems as well as tasks. Slides 8, 23 and 46 have tasks for you to do. One for each lesson in the order I’ve written them. The first two weeks worth of lesson on ratio and proportion. First have a go at the Ratios simplest form (powerpoint), then Ratio one part known (powerpoint) and then Ratios dividing into amounts (powerpoint). They have examples and tasks with extension tasks. Complete on paper.Then complete work on proportion by going to page 11 and 12 on this link.. Once complete click on the ratio assessment icon and have a go at the assessment. This is the first 2 weeks worth of lessons
